Woke up Monday morning to find them working on the sewers in our road.
The weather was perfect for Charlie and Carol and Chris and Karen’s annual party that night. Lots of delicious food for everyone!
Tuesday we had our Line Dancing Luncheon at the Sunshine Cafe and everyone agreed that was a great idea. Thank you, Pat, for another year of fun and exercise.
That night Ross and Sue and Hank and I had Dave and Deanna and Dave J. and Paula come from Key Colony for a cook-out. We introduced Paula to Sip and Go Nakeds.
Wednesday morning Turtle and Just John flew over the campground in a helicopter to take some aerial photos of Sunshine Key. Lots of us rushed out to wave up at them—and there were even reports of some flashing going on!
Our Computer Class took Chris to Lazy Days to thank her for all her efforts to make us computer literate. Chris, we so appreciate all your efforts and the patience you show each of us.
Thursday was St. Patrick’s Day and we had a great dinner and dance at the clubhouse.
Friday the Doerfels entertained by the pool and jello shots were served as well. Margie and Al were married for a brief time during the afternoon—with Mike and Debbie’s blessing.
We had a scrumptious dinner with Matt and Alice at the Square Grouper that night. The perfect end to a perfect day!
Saturday Gloria invited a huge gang to have her wonderful mostaccioli at their place.
Hank and Matt left after dinner with their cameras and tripods to get a shot of the huge moon coming up tonight. It will be another 18 years before it is this close to the earth again.
Our last bean bag tournament of the season on Sunday was pretty warm and people found shade where they could. Debbie wore a mask because of the coral dust. It’s been such fun and we all appreciate Mel and Janice doing the t-shirts and keeping this activity going.
I’ll close this week’s blog with a picture of a t-shirt that says it all about how blessed we feel with the weather we have had this winter—especially compared to what the rest of the country has suffered.
