We went down to Key West with Matt and Alice for a day of bike-riding and fun on Wednesday. After lunch at Salute’s, we toured the West Martello Tower. The Key West Garden Club does a magnificent job of creating and maintaining this beautiful spot.
We had drinks at the Schooner Wharf and ended up at our favorite restaurant, Blue Heaven, for dinner. Other SSK neighbors—Al, Karen, Larry and Carol—were also there with friends. Hank and I love going to Key West with Matt and Alice as we always find some place else to explore and enjoy in this special city.
Thursday night we shared dinner with Dave, Deanna, Dave J., Paula, Ross and Sue at Boondocks. And Kris, Art, Toby, Chris, Janice and Mel were sitting right behind us. The Doerfels, the family from our Hillbilly party at SSK, were onstage and we were glad to enjoy their music again.
I brought my “Sip and Go Nakeds” to the potluck at Kris and Art’s on Friday night and they led to some very interesting discussions among the women!!!
Sunday morning we got together at Arleen’s to surprise Karen with a card and gift. Karen does so much to provide us all with so many fun activities here at SSK.
Besides Bean Bags on Sunday, we also had a contest to see who could identify the most baby pictures. It was a lot harder than we had imagined to match the person with their baby photo.
