It’s been a wonderful week here at Sunshine Key. Monday we went down to Key West with Matt and Alice and rode our bikes around town. We had lunch at our favorite restaurant, Blue Heaven, and also shared a drink at Schooner’s Wharf. We were very lucky on the way home as my bike bounced off our bike rack and we dragged it along for a few miles before we discovered what had happened. It tore up the tires and ends of the handle bars. We took it into Big Pine Bicycle Center and Marty had it ready and good as new by Wednesday.
The campground treated all of us to a Welcome Back party on Wednesday afternoon. Lots of good food, music by Tommy Tunes and we enjoyed great company in the sun outside the clubhouse.
Rich and Joanne had us over on Thursday for fresh oysters. It’s great to have Al and Debbie here at last.
Busy day Saturday. Took the boat out and caught fish with almost every cast. The water is warmer and the fish are back!!!!! Got home, cleaned up in time for the Disco Dinner Dance. Hank and I helped serve the dinner with Bob and Gloria and Kris and Art. This was one of the best parties we’ve ever attended here.
We had 40 people come to Bean Bags on Sunday and had to use 4 boards. We played very fast as the skies were very threatening. Alice and Mel were the big winners and Al and Brenda came in second. Barb presented Mel with coconut cupcakes for playing so well.
