SSK, WEEK 12, FEB. 15, 2010

We finally got a break with the weather on Monday and headed out to 7 Mile Bridge to do some fishing with the kids.  What fun!  Jack caught the first fish, a snapper, and Molly caught a small grouper on her tiny little rod.  We all were amazed that she didn’t let go and lose it.  We had snacks on board and Molly even took a little nap on the front deck.

We then took the boat over to Bare Beach.  Tide was still a bit high, but we got to wade the beach anyway.  Both Jack and Molly got to drive the boat and did a good job of being captain.

Hank and Ben dropped Emily and I and the kids off back at the campground so that Jack and Molly could FINALLY swim in the pool.  The guys went back out to catch more fish!  Jack is a great swimmer and is even doing the butterfly.  And I was amazed at Molly.  She now puts her face in the water and that leaves me as the only Hamilton who doesn’t get her face wet!

We’re so happy we were able to get out on the water and that the kids were able to swim today.  Weather certainly has been cooler than last year.
