We drove down to Key West on Sunday, February 14. We stopped and had a delicious lunch on the beach at Salute! This restaurant was bought by the people who run Blue Heaven, our favorite restaurant in downtown Key West.
We parked the truck near the docks and walked through Truman Annex to get downtown. The kids loved window shopping and posing outside all the stores.
We spent several delightful hours in the Key West Aquarium. It opened in 1934 and was Key West’s first tourist attraction. The kids especially enjoyed the Touch Tank.
And Jack took this photo of “Kissy Fish”.
We spent a few minutes on Mallory Square—long before the sunset crowd began to gather.
We then walked over to the wharf area. Jack took another awesome photo of the harbor. We also celebrated with some ice cream.
Grandpa got the truck and picked us up for the ride back to the campground. Jack, our budding photographer, took lots of pictures on the way back. I share a few of his best with you.
It was a wonderful Valentine’s Day and fun to share Key West with Jack and Molly and their parents.
