MARK & COURTNEY’S WEDDING DAY, OCTOBER 9, 2010

 

Beautiful, warm sunny day for the wedding.  Some of our group visited the Luray Caverns and some of us we went to the Page County Heritage Festival. The guys loved seeing all the antique tractors and log sawing machines and I especially enjoyed the talk we heard about all the different varieties of apples.  We bought some Winesap apples to bring home.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We gathered back at the Mimslyn Inn for the 6:00 wedding.  The ceremony was held in a lovely outdoor setting behind the inn.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have to add that the MSU-UofM football game was being played during the ceremony and scores were being monitored by phone.  MSU won—again!—and the Spartan fans showed their colors at the reception.  Mark’s grooms cake showed where his allegiance was.

Our group gathered on this lovely fall week-end to attend Mark and Courtney’s wedding.  Thursday night we met some of the early arrivals for dinner at the Mimslyn Inn, where the wedding will be held.  It was especially nice to see Kristin and Conor, who had traveled from Seoul, South Korea, to attend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ross and Sue joined us on Friday morning as we explored some of Shenandoah National Park.  We took the famous Skyline Drive which curves along the entire length of the park and provides some breath-taking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday night we had dinner at Artisans Grill and then went back to the Inn for a party hosted by Dave and Deanna following the rehearsal dinner.
