Hank’s 50th High School Reunion is this week-end and we hosted a coffee hour at our clubhouse before a scheduled tour of Kimball High School—now Royal Oak High School. What fun to greet so many old friends and share in the excitement of this special reunion.
The gang walked over and toured the high school. It was a great beginning to the anticipated week-end.
Hank and I arrived at the Manistee River a day early for this annual event. Jack and Molly came with us and helped set up and explore while we waited for the rest of the gang to arrive.
We actually ended up moving our motorhome—and all our stuff—to another site the next day as some of the campers had left and we had a whole circle all to ourselves—right on the river! Let the fun begin.
Young or old, we all enjoy sharing camping and tubing at this beautiful spot. Hank and I are thrilled that this annual event is now shared with a third generation of tubers!
It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to some very special neighbors in our condo. Allan is moving to California to be near his son. Art and Jean are moving to a senior center that is closer to their daughter. We have known these two brothers and their wives (sadly, Elaine passed away last year) for many years and used to motorhome together at the Tulip Festival in Holland, MI. The brothers built our condos and were instrumental in getting us to move there after we sold our home.
We shared a farewell dinner with them at Clawson Steak House. Art’s daughter, Barb, joined us for the evening.

Art was kind enough to invite us to share his birthday party with his family at the end of the month. We will miss seeing these special and dear friends on a daily basis and wish them well in their new surroundings.
