SPRING IN MICHIGAN, APRIL 13-25, 2010

I find it takes me longer and longer to get unpacked and resettled each time we come home.  Our friends, Art and Jane, refer to this process as “re-entry” and I think this is very appropriate.  We are slowly “re-entering” our life here at home with family and friends.

Spring is breath-taking here this year.  The cooler temperatures have helped keep the flowering trees and spring bulbs from fading too soon.  Here are some photos I took on one of our walks last week.

We’re home in time to see both Molly and Jack play soccer this spring.  Molly’s team, Blue Thunder, is coached by our son, Ben.

Jack plays for The Wizards and has really improved since we first starting watching him play—he used to run up and down the field waving at all the fans on the sidelines!  Now he’s really into it and even plays in the goal part of the game.

My canasta group met last Friday and we had fun in spite of Deanna’s aggressive behavior!

I was also home in time to attend lunch with Group 6 from the Royal Oak Woman’s Club.  We honored fellow member Chris.  All 24 of us were there and I sat next to my good pal, June.

We’ve rejoined our Friday night Dinner Group .  And we also visited with Hank’s brother, Bob, and wife, Karen, over a great meal at Papa Vino’s this past week-end.    It’s good to be home.
