It’s always so hard to watch our neighbors pack up their belongings and leave to journey home. We exchange final hugs and wishes for safe trips. Sad as it is, it also means that we are also one more day closer to being back together at SSK.
First to leave on Monday, no surprise, were Reney and Blaine--
Then Carol and Glenn--
Tuesday morning was VERY busy.
Once they got their levelers up, Sue and Ross were first to go.
Patty and Charlie and their pups--
Penny and Bob--
Alice and Matt got all the plants packed up in the back seat and shower, had one last breakfast in the cafe and rolled away--
Linda and Bob were right behind--
Jacky and Tom stopped by to say good-bye--
And Wednesday we bid farewell to Pat and Dewey--
Toby and Chris were leaving for a short visit home--
And now for the hardest good-bye of all. Hank and I also left on Wednesday, a day earlier than planned. I flew home from Ft. Myers to attend the funeral of our good and dear friend, Sandi. She and Dave had just enjoyed a wonderful visit to Key Colony in mid-March and we are so grateful we had time to be with her one last time. May she rest in peace. She will be sorely missed.
