Hank and I drove down the west side of the state to the New Era area. My good high school friend, Jeannie, had rented a cottage there right on Lake Michigan. I got to spend the day with her, her daughter, Ellyn, and grandsons, Hunter and Wyatt. The weather was cool and rainy, but we had the best time visiting and catching up.
Jeannie’s grandkids, just like ours, love playing on the iPhone! Mom, too.
Hank gave us all day to visit and then came to take us out to dinner and for—what else?—ice cream!
Jeannie and I did not stop talking ONCE all day and had so much fun. Now she has to go back to Tulsa and I don’t know when I will see her again—maybe our 50th reunion in 2012!
