We had our condo’s balcony refloored and it’s a good thing we did. One of the workman’s knees went right through and you can see the hole it made. Hank then covered the new flooring with outdoor carpeting.
While we were out west, our neighbors and long-time friends, Art and Jean, moved into a senior housing complex near their daughter. We visited their new place and were very impressed with how nice it is. Their daughter, Barb, and brother, Allan, joined us and we shared a fun dinner at Buca Di Beppo’s. We will miss them and wish them well in their new home.
We shared lots of time with Jack and Molly while home. Jack showed off his new bike-riding skills and Molly makes herself right at home at our place.
Our Clawson Library had a Halloween party and I took Jack and Molly. There were stories, crafts and treats.
We shared a dinner out with Hank’s brother, Bob, and sister-in-law, Karen. We had so much fun visiting that I neglected to take a picture of our lovely evening out. We are hoping they will come see us in the Keys and we promise to post lots of photos of them then.
Our Friday night gang met for dinner at Joe Cool’s and everyone was there except for Hank who wasn’t feeling well. Ross and Sue even brought along their grandchildren, Jake and Madeline. We will miss Mary, Karen, Fran, Peggy and Dave, Ronnie and Carl and Alice and Jim this winter and plan on seeing Deanna and David, Sandi and Dave and Ross and Sue down in the Keys.
We love sharing Halloween night with Ben and Emily and Jack and Molly. We ate pizza at the neighbors and then all the grandparents passed out candy while the parents took the kids trick-or-treating. It was cold this year, but at least it wasn’t raining. Jack, dressed as a vampire, kept trick-or-treating, while Molly helped me pass out AND taste the goodies at the end of the evening.
Don’t you love the giant bat and they had the bubble machine going again, too.
It’s hard to say good-bye to family and friends, but Snowbirds have to go where it’s warm! We promise to stay in touch with this blog, email, Skype, telephone, Facebook and even the occasional letter.
